In October 2015 we launched our collection of Bushnell sporting optics for your enjoyment. And boy have you enjoyed them. Binoculars, spotting scopes, rifle scopes and more have been flying off our shelves and in to your hands, equipping you for all the fun and adventure that the great outdoors of New Zealand has to offer.
It’s been a busy few months since our Bushnell launch, but on this sunny March afternoon we thought we’d take the opportunity to introduce the rest of you to Bushnell and what they have to offer.
Who are Bushnell?
Bushnell Outdoor Products, or the Bushnell Corporation as it is also known, started it’s life in 1948 as a mail-order binoculars company. Since then, the Bushnell brand of sporting optics has gone from strength to strength, and has been an industry leader in high-performance sports optics for over 65 years, boasting the leading market share in all of the sports optics categories.
Bushnell optical products have consistently won design and performance awards and the company continues to explore ways to utilise new technologies to design sports optics that pair leading-edge design with performance innovation.

Bushnell really does have a range to suit everyone and every budget. Bushnell Elite range
Bushnell's Elite range of binoculars represents the pinnacle of optical performance. Products in the Elite range of binoculars are built with fully multicoated optics and Bushnell’s XTR® technology. This awesome technology means that each prism has 60 layers of coatings on it, allowing it to harness as much light as possible, and producing a class leading 99.73% light transmission per lens. Elite binoculars are known for their edge-to edge clarity, contrast and colour-true imagery. Bushnell uses premium ED Prime glass for their Elite binoculars and utilises their patented RainGuard® HD coating to eliminate lens fogging and scatter moisture from the lenses in damp conditions.
All Elite binoculars are 100% waterproof, fog proof and built around a tough, lightweight magnesium chassis for reliability in the most extreme conditions.
Our range of Bushnell binoculars includes models with the popular 10x42 and 8x42 specifications, favoured by bird watchers and hunters world wide.
The quality and workmanship of Bushnell’s Elite range of riflescopes matches that of their binoculars. Known for their superior clarity and accuracy, scopes from the Elite Tactical, Elite 6500 and Elite 3500 ranges all include fully multicoated optics, ultra wide band anti-reflection coating for superior light transmission, RainGuard® HD coating and are Argon purged for ultimate, long lasting waterproof durability.
Available in a range of popular fixed and zoom magnifications, with objective lenses in 40mm, 42mm and 44mm, our Bushnell Elite scopes are built with either mil-dot, Multi-X, G2M mil-dot or G2H reticles.
Looking for the best of the best in tactical spotting scopes? You’ve found it! Including all the features you need from a high end spotter, the Elite Tactical Spotting scope from Bushnell features ED prime glass for incredibly vivid details and fully multi-coated optics for the brightest images. As with all Elite sporting optics, this spotter has the RainGuard® HD coating and is fully waterproof.
Bushnell Legend Ultra HD range
One of Bushnell’s most popular series of optics and known for being the best in their class, the Legend Ultra HD range includes spotting scopes, riflescopes and monoculars. Ideal for those who want the quality of the higher end Bushnell lines, but don’t want the price tag, all optics in this range use ED Prime glass, have fully multi-coated optics and are built using their patented RainGuard® HD coating to eliminate lens fogging and scatter moisture from lenses in damp conditions.
Bushnell Legacy range
Our range of Bushnell Legacy binoculars are affordable, built to last, ideal for a wide range of outdoor activities and are especially appealing to those on a budget. All models feature fully multi-coated optics and premium BaK-4 prisms for exceptional light transmission and image clarity. The Bushnell Legacy range has a well-rounded lineup built for all outdoor adventures.
Bushnell H2O Waterproof range
The H2O series of binoculars from Bushnell are built for use on or near water and make ideal marine binoculars. Binoculars in this awesome range are all O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged to completely lock out moisture. They also have a rubber armouring with textured pads to give you the grip you need in wet situations. Like all Bushnell optics, the binoculars in the H2O range have multi-coated optics and premium quality BaK-4 prism glass maximise light transmission and image clarity.
Bushnell Marine range
Binoculars from the Bushnell Marine range do what they say on the tin and are specifically designed as marine binoculars. Buoyant, waterproof and corrosion resistant, optics in this range are built to withstand extreme nautical environments and the great thing is that they also float. Bushnell Marine binoculars come in a range of specifications including the popular 7x50 marine configuration. There is also a version that has digital compass.
Bushnell Powerview range
The Bushnell Powerview range of binoculars has an emphasis on quality yet affordable binoculars. Bushnell Spacemaster range
The Bushnell Spacemaster range of spotting scopes were designed over 20 years ago and are still as popular as ever thanks to their fantastic price and inclusion of all the features you need for use indoors and out. Waterproof, fully-multi coated and built with RainGuard® HD coating, Spacemaster spotting scopes are ideal for bird watching, hunting and more.
Bushnell AR Optics range
The name says it all - the Bushnell AR Optics range is designed for use with air rifles. Built to withstand the recoil of AR type rifles, AR riflescopes from Bushnell are available in various configurations to equip every AR platform from 22 rimfire to long-range 223 firearms. AR Optics scopes have fully multicoated optics and include Drop Zone-223 Ballstic Reticles, with aiming points out to 500 yards.
Bushnell Banner range
The Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn rifle scope range are designed to be bright, accurate, dependable and accurate even in low light conditions. Built with Dusk & Dawn Brightness™ (DDB) multi-coated lenses, these waterproof rifle scopes are available with Circle X and mil dot reticles.
