It's been a long time coming, but we're thrilled to announce that leading optical brand, Nikon, have released a brand new, completely upgraded version of their Monarch 5 binoculars.

Enter the Monarch M5 ED binoculars!

Available in a 8x42, 10x42 and 12x42 configuration, with a brand new design, there's a model available for every avid hunter, birder or nature watcher in New Zealand.

    But what's new?

FAQ's about Nikon Monarch M5 ED Binoculars

What are the new features of the Nikon Monarch M5 ED binoculars?

The main new feature of the Nikon Monarch binoculars is that they are now built with ED glass. This stands for extra low dispersion and means that the glass used to build the binoculars transfers even more light than ever to your eyes for bright and clear images. In addition they feature multicoated, phase coated and dielectric coated lenses meaning they produce clear, colour true images, with excellent resolution.

How do the Nikon Monarch M5 ED binoculars compare to other Nikon models?

The Nikon Monarch ED binoculars offer much better quality construction and better quality optics than previous Nikon Monarch 5 models. They are some of the best optics offered by Nikon with only the Monarch M7 and Monarch HG out performing them.

What is the magnification and objective lens size of the Nikon Monarch M5 ED binoculars?

The Nikon Monarch M5 ED binoculars come in a range of magnification and lens size configurations to suit your needs. At ScopeUout we have the 8x, 10x and 12x magnifications available, all with a standard sized 42mm lens.

Are the Nikon Monarch M5 ED binoculars waterproof?

As you would expect from binoculars of such a good quality, all of the binoculars in the Nikon Monarch M5 Binocular line are waterproof and fogproof thanks to o-ring sealing and nitrogen purging. This means you can trust them not to fog up and stop working even when used in the rain or other damp conditions.

What is the field of view for the Nikon Monarch M5 ED binoculars?

There are a number of binocular models in the Nikon Monarch M5 ED Binocular line, each with varying magnifications and thus different fields of view. The field of view; that is the amount of the landscape you can see at one time, varies between each model and is measured in the number of meters of the landscape you can see from a 1000m distance. For the 8x it is 102m, for the 10x it is 89m and 12x it is 81m.
