    FAQ's about buying guides

What is the brand-new free buyer's guide?

At ScopeUout we want to make it as easy as possible for you to choose the right optics for your needs. As we don’t have a physical retail store, we spend a great deal of time using our expertise to create guides to help you buy the right optic for almost every activity. Our new buying guide is designed to help you correctly choose the right bases, rings and mounts to connect your riflescope to your rifle.

Who is the guide intended for?

Our guide is mainly focused on providing novice hunters and shooters with information. In the guide we cover the basic types of connections that you may find between rifles and mounts, such as dovetail, weaver or picatinny. This will give you an overview of the different types of scope rings and mounts available from us at ScopeUout. In addition to the general types of scope mounts available, there are also a heap of more specific mounts too. If you’ve read our guide and you’re still not sure what you need then give us a shout and we’ll be happy to help.

How can I access the guide?

The scope mount buying guide is available for free on our website. To access it simply follow the link at the top of this post and enjoy!

What type of information will I find in the guide?

The guide offers general information that explains the difference between standard scope mounts and rings such as those designed for weaver or picatinny mounts or dovetails. The aim is to give beginners an overview of the different types of scope attachments.

Is the guide available in any other languages besides English?

The guide is available in English on our website but Google translate may help you to change it into your local language.

How often is the guide updated?

We’re always working hard to keep our guides as up to date as possible and we add information to it whenever we notice there’s something missing. If you spot something that could do with updating then please let us know.

Is there a cost associated with accessing the guide?

There’s no cost at all involved in accessing any of our guides. All of the information on our site is totally free and designed to make it as easy as possible for our customers to find what they need.
