If you suspect that your product has a fault then please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. We'll then provide you with a return authorisation form to include alongside the item when you send it back to us. Our Alpen products are covered by a five year manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects.
Our Athlon products are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Athlon will also repair or replace, at no charge to you, your product if you should damage it through normal use. No receipt needed, no registration required. This is a commitment that Athlon will be the best product you can buy for your money.
Our ATN line of optics is covered by a two year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Bushnell products sold by ScopeUout and manufactured on or after April 2017 are covered by the Bushnell Ironclad Warranty. The Ironclad Warranty is a full lifetime warranty that covers the lifetime of this Product. Each Product has a defined lifetime; lifetimes can range from 1 to 30 years. Carson products are covered by a range of different manufactures warranties that vary depending on the type of product. Their binoculars and microscopes have a no fault warranty and their telescopes have a one year limited warranty.

All Nightforce riflescopes are covered by a transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty, which says in simple words, if Nightforce did something wrong, they'll fix it.

Rudolph Optics offers a NQA (No Questions Asked) full lifetime warranty on all of the sport optics and a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty on all accessories and electronic rangefinders. If at any time during the guarantee period a Rudolph Optics product is found to have a defect in material or workmanship, Rudolph Optics will, repair or replace it free of charge. The guarantee is also transferable to another user.
Sky Watcher telescopes come with a one year warranty against manufacturers defects.
Snypex binoculars and spotting scopes (except those with electronic components) are covered by a 25 year warranty against manufacturers defects. Snypex range finding binoculars have a three year warranty.
Our range of Sun Optics USA riflescopes, rings and mounts carry a limited life-time manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects.
Our range of Stealth Optics riflescopes and rings carry a 10 year manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects.
Talley rings and mounts are covered by a lifetime manufacturers warranty.
Tasco products sold by ScopeUout are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty guarantees products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the reasonable lifetime of the item given normal use. All Tasco products purchased through ScopeUout are warranted against defects in workmanship or materials, and provided they are not abused, taken apart or tampered with in any way we will make good any deficiencies not due to normal wear and tear. Products will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.
Vanguard binoculars, spotting scopes and rifle scopes have a lifetime manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects.
Our Velbon tripods carry a one year manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects.
Our Vixen riflescopes and binoculars carry a lifetime manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defects.

Our Zeiss Terra binoculars are covered by a two year manufacturers warranty against defects. Our Victory and Conquest binoculars are covered by a 10 year manufacturers warranty against defects. Zeiss V4 and V6 scopes are also covered by a 10 year manufacturers warranty.
To qualify for cover under the manufacturers warranty please keep your confirmation email and tax invoice from ScopeUout as proof of purchase. In some cases you will need to register your product with the manufacturer to be eligible for the manufacturers warranty. Please read all manufacturers documentation included with your product to ensure that you follow all manufacturers warranty requirements. ScopeUout will not accept any responsibility for customers failure to comply with manufacturers warranty requirements.
Delivery Charges for Warranty Returns
Any shipping costs to return the original goods to ScopeUout will be your responsibility. If on examination of goods returned to ScopeUout, the goods are found to not be in breach of any consumer guarantee, ScopeUout may charge you a fee for examining the goods, and also charge you any cost to return the goods to you.
Please note that goods must be returned within a reasonable period and you may be asked to demonstrate that you have purchased the goods from ScopeUout (Contact details verification) and that the problem with the goods was not your fault.
If you are shipping an item worth over $10, they are required to use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. ScopeUout will take no responsibility for items that are lost or damaged during return shipping.

The ScopeUout.co.nz website is for New Zealand customers only and all of our prices are listed in NZ dollars. If you're browsing from Australia then why not visit our Australian site and pay in Australian dollars.
Shipping across the whole of NZ is 100% FREE! Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Twizle, Whangarei.......you name the place and we'll delivery your product to your door.
We are only able to deliver to physical addresses where parcels can be signed for. Please do not include a PO Box as a delivery address at checkout.
We understand that you want your new purchase as soon as possible and it is important that we get it to you as quickly as we can.
All orders are shipped via courier directly from our NZ based distributors warehouses to your door. Orders are processed and dispatched Monday to Friday. If you’ve placed your order over the weekend it will be processed on Monday.
If your order is in stock in our distributors warehouse, it will be shipped within five to seven business days from the date of your order. Occasionally our distributors will have to source the product from their Australian warehouse which can take up to 14 working days. If we are aware that shipping times for a certain product will be longer than usual, we’ll indicate this on the product description.
If you need your product by a certain date then please get in touch before ordering to find out if that is possible.
If your order contains multiple products then individual products may be delivered on different days, depending on the warehouse that the products will be shipped from and the availability of freight carriers.
We endeavour to send you tracking details for your order but this is not always possible. If you have any questions at all regarding the status of the delivery of your order please contact us.
Please note that if you have paid via bank deposit then we'll process your product for dispatch and ship it to you once the payment has cleared in our account.
As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and we are reaching out to our NZ distributors warehouses to confirm that the product is in stock and ready to ship.
Once your product has been dispatched from our distributors warehouse we will update our system to show that your order is on it’s way. We’ll email you to let you know the status of your order, and where possible we will provide you with the tracking details for the delivery.
You can check the status of your order at any time by visiting your order confirmation page which can be accessed by clicking on the ‘View Your Order’ button on your order confirmation email.
Prices and taxes:
Goods and Service Tax (GST of 15%) will be charged on all purchases. GST is included in the displayed sales price of all products. Your total order price will include the price of the product plus GST. No additional taxes will be added to the price of your product when you checkout. We reserve the right to change prices of our products at any time.

If for any reason we are unable to supply a product, we'll contact you via email to inform you of the delay and arrange a refund or alternative product if available. Change of mind
We go to every effort to ensure that information on our website is up to date and accurate so that you have all of the information you need to make an informed decision prior to purchase. We do however understand that buying online can sometimes be tricky, so we offer a 14 day exchange policy.
If you’ve changed your mind about what you’ve ordered then we are happy for you to return your item to us for an exchange or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase. We do not offer cash refunds.
Change of mind returns and exchange Terms and Conditions
To qualify for a refund or exchange due to change of mind, goods must:
- Be in their original, brand new, resell-able, condition
- Have all of their original, unopened manufacturers packaging, materials and accessories, including packing inserts, instruction booklets, and blank warranty cards
- Be returned with a blank warranty card that has not been written on in any way
- Be returned within 14 days with the necessary paper work
Returns and exchanges will:
- Be issued at the discretion of ScopeUout
- Be honoured by an exchange or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase
- Usually be processed within seven days
- Incur a 5% (of the total value of the item) restocking fee
- Be shipped via tracked, signature required courier at the cost of the buyer
If you wish to return an item due to change of mind, please contact us first so we can provide you with the necessary paper work. Please note that orders returned for an exchange will incur a shipping fee for sending the new item.
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (‘CGA’), you have guaranteed legal rights for goods [and services] you buy from ScopeUout.
These are called ‘consumer guarantees’, and include the following:
1) a guarantee that the goods are of acceptable quality, such that the goods are:
- fit for all the purposes for which goods of that type are commonly supplied;
- free from minor manufacturing defects;
- durable; and
- acceptable in appearance and finish;
2) a guarantee that the goods are fit for any particular purpose made known by you, or for which we represent that they are or will be fit;
3) a guarantee that the goods correspond with any description with which the goods are supplied; and
4) a guarantee that the goods correspond with any sample or demonstration model where the goods are supplied by reference to such sample or model.
If the goods [or services] we supply do not meet a consumer guarantee, we will meet our obligations under the CGA to provide a remedy.
These guarantees are in addition to any warranty offered by a manufacturer, and you may have rights against the manufacturer directly.
The CGA does not apply where the goods have been used in a manner, or to an extent which is inconsistent with the manner or extent of use that a reasonable consumer would expect to obtain from the goods; and the goods would have complied with the guarantee of acceptable quality if they had not been used in the manner or to that extent.
If the goods [or services] we supply do not comply with a consumer guarantee, but can be remedied within a reasonable time, we will either repair the goods or replace the goods with goods of identical type. If we cannot repair or replace the goods within a reasonable time (8 weeks maximum), we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price.
A ‘major failure’ is where the failure in the goods cannot be repaired or cannot be repaired within a reasonable time (8 weeks maximum), or where the failure constitutes a ‘failure of substantial character’ as set out by section 21 of the CGA.
If a failure amounts to a major failure, you are entitled to return the goods and choose to have a replacement of the returned goods or a refund. Alternatively, you may elect to retain the goods and obtain compensation for the reduction in value of the goods.
Where you choose a replacement, we will where available, provide goods of the same type and similar value to the returned goods.
Delivery Charges for Warranty Returns
Any shipping costs to return the original goods to ScopeUout will be your responsibility, where ScopeUout considers the goods to have breached a consumer guarantee. If on examination of goods returned to ScopeUout, the goods are found to not be in breach of any consumer guarantee, ScopeUout may charge you a fee for examining the goods, and also charge you any cost to return the goods to you.
Goods Damaged in Transit
If any goods arrive damaged, please contact ScopeUout within 24 hours of delivery. Damaged goods must be returned in the condition received by you with all original packaging, together with all packing slips. Any shipping charges will not be reimbursed by ScopeUout.
